Subject to the conditions stated herein, Hi-Torque warrants to purchasers thereof that the parts, components and assemblies sold by all Branches (individually and collectively referred to hereafter as the “Product”) will, when properly assembled and installed on vehicles approved for such purpose, be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for the applicable warranty period as described below.
1. All Products stocked and sold by Hi-Torque are warranted by their respective manufacturers and or suppliers warranties and are only warranted to the extent of the manufacturers and or suppliers warranty.
2. Remanufactured transmissions and differentials, purchased for use in an on-highway application are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for up to six (6 ) months from date of purchase.
2.1. Remanufactured transmissions and differentials, purchased for off-highway applications are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) months from date of purchase.
3. Driveshaft’s manufactured and or repaired purchased for on-highway applications are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) months from date of purchase.
3.1. Driveshaft’s manufactured and or repaired purchased for off-highway applications and other equipment are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) months or two hundred and fifty (250) hours whichever occurs first from date of purchase.
4. Any Product that is subject to racing, speed trials and or used on any vehicle that has been modified beyond the manufacturer’s standard will not be warranted.
5. Exchange Units are covered by limited warranty comprising of six (6) months / unlimited kilometres – conditions apply.
Exchange Units – must be used in accordance to original equipment specifications and within their Rated Limitations, Units supplied will not be warranted when vehicles have been modified or used beyond original specifications eg Increased Engine Torque.
Hi-Torque’s at its sole discretion and subject to inspection by Hi-Torque, will repair, replace or refund any failed Product during this period. Hi-Torque’s liability, under this warranty, shall in any event not exceed the original Product purchase price.
The repaired or replaced Product shall be warranted hereunder for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period.
Purchaser’s Responsibilities:
The purchaser is responsible to ensure the prompt rectification of any problem, subject to the clauses contained in this warranty document. Damage which occurs due to continued operation after a defect is evident, will not be covered.
Any one instance and or any combination of incorrect operation, incorrect adjustment, incorrect servicing or lack of, improper installation and or maintenance, lack of proper lubrication, accidents, abuse and or improper application/use and or progressive damage caused by another source, including shock load failure, will result in voiding warranty.
Any product that has been modified or altered without the written approval of Hi-Torque will also result in voiding warranty.
To make a claim under this warranty, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to immediately contact Hi-Torque, providing proof of purchase and advising the nature of the concern.
Warranty repairs are only to be performed by Hi-Torque.
Limitations:
Warranty only applies to the original purchaser.
The repaired or replaced Product shall be warranted hereunder for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period.
Hi-Torque warranty for service parts covers reimbursement for parts only.
Specific conditions of rectification may be negotiated between the Purchaser and Hi-Torque.
Where a third party is used to carry out warranty repairs the repairs must not be carried out prior to Hi-Torque being contacted, accessing the problem and approving action to be taken to rectify the concern. Any costs associated with this action will not be accepted unless an official company order is issued approving any action and will only cover the agreed dollar value of such action.
Where Product has been fitted in the Hi-Torque workshop, the warranty covers reimbursement of parts and labour for the repaired Product only if such work is carried out with prior approval from Hi-Torque.
Product must be supplied for inspection, if required, within two weeks of the request. Product must be properly marked as Warranty Returns.
Hi-Torque will not pay down time, freight, travel, towing, loss of profits or income, or any other expense other than the actual repair.
Should any part of this warranty contravene any applicable law, the law would over-ride that part, with the remaining Warranty Agreement left intact as stated.
